Dr. Dennis Moore is a fellowship trained neurotologist since
1990. He has dedicated his practice exclusively to treating
disorders of the ears and related structures in adults and children.
A neurotologist is a physician and surgeon with an extensive
interest in the ear and special training in the diagnosis and
management of ear disorders. A neurotologist must first undergo at
least a five year accredited residency in Otolaryngology-Head and
Neck Surgery (ear, nose and throat), followed by 1-2 years of
advanced fellowship training in Otology-Nuerotology. As a result, a
neurotologist is specifically trained to perform delicate surgical
procedures on the ear and related cranial base, often in conjunction
with a neurosurgeon. Such procedures include reconstructive
operations for ear infections, cholesteatoma, and rebuilding the
middle ear hearing apparatus; cochlear implants; removal of acoustic
neuromas; surgical procedures for Meniere's disease and
vertigo. |
